To Die For: Jean Paul Gaultier Fall 2017 Couture Collection

Coco Rocha ended the Jean Paul Gaultier in a tricycle and it gave us life. The entire collection focuses on layers, earth tones and occasional colors in the most amazing prints. The exaggerated shoulders are reminiscent of the 80's, probably an homage to Padme Amidala, but with a modern twist. The draping of the gowns reminds us of the rich culture of the East. The tailoring of the deconstructed slash avant garde coats is a leap of faith for the traditional soul but who wouldn't want to go out of the comfort zone from time to time?
