Golden Globes 2019: List of Nominees and Winners

Glenn Close

The Golden Globe Awards ended with surprises and perhaps, upsets, but based on the looks of the stars who attended one of the most star-studded events in Hollywood, everyone went home happy.

The hosts of the night, Andy Samberg and Sandra Oh did a really job keeping the audience entertained. We have to admit, we we also thought that A Star Is Born will win the Best Picture and Lady Gaga would win the Best Actress award. She did win, though, for her song Shallow from the same movie. We were as surprised as Rami Malek when he bested other nominees for the Best Actor award, not that he didn't deserve it, but because everyone was so good it's hard to predict who will win. We got emotional when Rami dedicated the award to Freddie Mercury, who, for us, is the best singer who ever lived. Glenn Close also had us teary eyed with her acceptance speech, I mean, who wouldn't get emotional talking about parents? Regina King received nods from the audience when she promised that in the next two years, she will make sure that the series or movie that she will produce will consist of at least 50 percent women. We didn't know Christian Bale is British, did you?
