Trend Alert: Track pants are what you need to wear this season

The 90's track pants is making a comeback this year. Let us thank celebrities like Paris Hilton, Jennifer Lopez and Britney Spears and brands like Juicy Couture and Betsey Johnson for making it a must have piece inside our closets. Never in our wildest dreams did it occur that track pants will be worn by celebrities after two decades. Take a cue from Ashley Graham and Tracee Ellis Ross who dressed up their track pants by wearing heels and check out some pieces we found in stores that are equally trendy, yet affordable.

Ashley Graham looks absolutely stunning in her one shoulder dress that hugged her curves in all the right places that she accessorized with hoop earrings and pointy T-bar pumps. The America's Next Top Model judge attended the International Women's Day United Nations Awards luncheon in N.Y.C. where she is an awardee.

We love Ashley Graham, her hair and makeup are on point and her curves are enviable, but we are already tired of seeing stars wearing sheer dresses on events.

After her successful stint as a co-host for the Miss Universe 2016 held in the Philippines last January, she's been busy modeling and spreading positive body image in the US. As a plus size woman myself, I am proud that we are represented in an industry wherein skinny is served regularly. Another milestone in the fashion and magazine industry is her inclusion in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2017 edition.  For the special launching event at NYC, Ashley wore a leather (perhaps) dress with a leather belt to cinch her waist. She accessorized it with drop earrings and sexy multi-strap sandals.

It's refreshing to see curvier women on the red carpet after we were left in awe of the bodies of the recent Victoria's Secret angels. Someday, I hope, Ashley and other curvier models will be featured on their runway. I recently saw a video at BuzzFeed wherein curvier women recreated the Victoria's Secret fashion show and they were all amazing! They made me say "Hey! That's my body and that's sexy!". 

For the premiere of America's Next Top Model in NYC, Ashley chose to wear a belted sheer dress that hugged her body in all the right places and caged sandals. Her high ponytail and earrings were also on point and her makeup is flawless. Kudos to Ashley for inspiring more women to be confident in their own bodies.

Ashley Graham looks ravishing in Tadashi Shoji lace gown, sleek back hair, choker and sexy heels for the GQ event. The Sports Illustrated model made a mark for the plus-size (I'd rather prefer curvy) models to show that the industry must address every size there is because it is the reality.
