My Christmas beauty loot

My beauty loot this Christmas.

I am a late bloomer when it comes to using makeup. I actually first used a lipstick when I was in second year college. And I don't even put it on regularly because it felt awkward since my classmates were not wearing makeup back then.

I learned to put on makeup when I began working in 2002. I just put on pressed powder, a little eye shadow, blush and sheer lipstick. That's how primitive I was when putting on makeup. I can say my love for makeup began when I started working as a telemarketer for an international company in 2006. It just became a routine to go to the office already made up. I guess it was because I work as a marketer and that we were expected to look our best each time, with or without a client.

I am not a makeup hoarder but I buy lipstick at least twice a month since I use it every day in the office and when I go out--one sheer for day use and one satin finish for nights out. I also don't buy expensive products since I don't have that big a budget for pricey brands. This Christmas, I bought some makeup essentials that I know I will use to glamorously face the new year.

Check it out...

What's in my make-up kit?

I don't bring too many make-up and beauty products in my bag, I only bring the things that I use on a daily basis. Take a look at what is inside my Coach purse.

1. Johnson & Johnson's Clean and Clear oil control film
2. Detangler comb (for my long straight hair)
3. Avon double ended brush
4. Avon Glimmersticks brow definer
5. Avon Perfect Wear plump and stay lip color (my mom gave this to me)
6. Jordana moss green eyeshadow
7. Nichido blush in tomato color
8. Olay Total Effects 7-in-1 Anti-Ageing Cream in SPF15 (uhuh, I also have a handy tube)
9. Maybelline Clear Smooth Extra powder foundation in SPF20 (I recently bought this as replacement for the pressed powder)
10. Christian Dior blush brush (this is my favorite brush)
11. Avon Ultra Moisture Rich lipstick in mulberry pink
12. Avon Simply Pretty concealer stick

I use these twelve items each and every morning before I go to work. As you will notice, I use mostly Avon products. I have given up on more expensive brands because they are, well, expensive. For career women who has strict budget rules, I really recommend Avon.

This is not a paid post.

Avon's multi-way dresses

What do you think of Avon's multi-way dress?  I think it is ingenious!  You pay for one dress but you are actually buying five or seven or even more if you are too creative.  Just twist and wrap and you are ready to go.

This black multi-way dress sells for $24.99.  You get 5 little black dresses in one.

Here is another multi-way dress in red, $24.99.  You are really getting 7 dresses for the price of 1.

For that price, you can buy the two.
