RuPaul's Drag Race Season 10 Episode 3 Recap

If you think the first two episodes were full of emotions, think again.

The mini challenge was about auditioning for a commercial promoting a chocolate bar. They were given 20 minutes to get into "fresh off the bus" drag. Through the command of RuPaul, the queens were challenged to do some weird and humiliating acting and dancing. In the end, Blair St. Clair, Monique Heart, and Monet X Change were declared the winners. The queens got to pick their team mates for the maxi challenge wherein they are to promote three dating apps--End of the Days, Fibstr, and Madam Buttrface.

Blair's End of Days team included The Vixen, Eureka and Miz Cracker. Monet's Fibstr team composed of Dusty Ray Bottoms, Kameron Michaels and Mayhem Miller. Monique's Madam Buttrface team included Aquaria, Yuhua Hamasaki and Asia O'Hara. Courtney Love and Nico Tortorella were the guest judges and they were quite impressed with most of the queens with their acting and their runway style featuring feathers.

It's obvious that the queens favor raven, perhaps an ode to Raven? Of all the ravens on the drag race runway, we were blown away by Kameron Michael's Maleficent-like look.

The queens were up for a surprise, while Blair's team was the obvious winner, they will be judged based on their individual performances. After the tallying the scores from the queens' acting in the commercial and their feather looks, Asia O'Hara was declared the overall winner. Her Tweety Bird look gave us life!

Mayhem Miller's seemingly nonchalant approach to the challenge landed her on the bottom together with Yuhua Hamasaki who didn't impress the judges in regards to her acting and being into character. The two lip synced for their lives to the tune of Celebrity Skin by Hole. Mayhem's plucking the feathers off her gown brought the house down and set Yuhua to sashay away.

Who will be the next queen to be sent home? We will find out tonight at 8/7c in VH1.

RuPaul's Drag Race Season 10 Episode 2 Recap

RuPaul's Drag Race Season 10 Episode 2 wrapped up like our favorite burrito--meaty and full of flavor.

In the mini challenge, Andy Cohen, helped RuPaul pick the winner for Hay Girl Hay wherein the queens had to dress-up like they are from the West and dance like they've never done the ho-down before. The Vixen and Asia O'Hara won which made them the team leaders of the next challenge.

The queens were tasked to do a Pharmarusical number. The teams were surprised to find out that Alyssa Edwards will be the one to help them choreograph their presentation. A few queens struggled during the rehearsal but it was Eureka O'Hara who caught the attention of Alyssa. It was obvious  that her previous injury took a toll on her confidence. Their presentation was judged by drag race regulars Michelle Visage and Ross Matthews with Halsey and Padma Lakshmi as special guests. The winning team declared was The Vixen's which includes Miz Cracker, Blair St. Clair, Monet X Change, Kameron Michaels, and Mayhem Miller. This day proves to be The Vixen's day because she was declared as the maxi challenge winner. For the second time around, Kalorie was up for elimination but this time with Eureka. They lip synced for their lives to the tune of Best of My Love by The Emotions but this time, Eureka was able to redeem herself after an underwhelming performance in the challenge and sent Kalorie home.

RuPaul's Drag Race Season 10 Episode 1 Recap

Top Row from L to R: Kalorie Karbdashian-Williams, Kameron Michaels, Yuhua Hamasaki, Dusty Ray Bottoms, Eureka, Asia O'Hara, The Vixen, Aquaria, Blair St. Clair, Miz Cracker, and Mayhem Miller.
Bottom Row from L to R: Vanessa Vanjie Mateo, Monique Heart, and Monet X Change

The much awaited RuPaul's Drag Race Season 10 aired last night and it was quite a shocker. The usual entrance to the work room showed that there are a lot of New York City queens so an alliance is already expected. We can sense rivalry between Aquaria and Miz Cracker since the two are frequently mistaken for one another or as twins. We actually didn't notice until some of the queens pointed it out so now we cannot unsee it. It will be a challenge for the two to get out of that mistaken identity.

The first mini challenge was to impress the previous seasons' queens of their dance moves on the runway. The Rupaul's Drag Race All Stars 3 winner Trixie Mattel was there together with fellow All Stars winner Chad Michaels. Season  winners, Jinkx Monsoon and Bob the Drag Queen didn't miss the chance to take the first look at the season 10 queens. Iconic season queens like Manila Luzon, Raven, Katya Zamolodchikova, Adore Delano, Mrs. Kasha Davis, Darienne Lake, Victoria Porkchop Parker, Derrick Barry, Morgan McMichaels, Laganja Estranja, Detox, Kim Chi, and many more were there, too. It was a nerve racking experience seeing the winners and iconic drag queens critique the neophytes from head to toe. In the end, Mayhem Miller won the challenge.

Another shocker was when RuPaul announced that there's another queen she would like to call during the elimination. Everyone was dumbfounded when RuPaul called in Farrah Moan, but in fact it was Christina Aguilera who later joined the other judges. The first major challenge was the Drag on a Dime look in which Mayhem Miller was once again declared the winner because of her glove couture dress. Unfortunately for Kalorie Karbdashian-Williams and Vanessa Vanjie Mateo, they lip synced for their lives to the tune of Christina Aguilera's Ain't No Other Man. In the end, Vanessa Vanjie Mateo failed to impress the judges and was the first queen of the season to be sent home. That's a wrap for the House of Mateo.
