One of my favorite luxury brands is Fendi because of their classic-modern twists in design. I fell in love with the brand when I was in college when my grandmother gave me a Fendi zucca print wallet and hobo. I lost the wallet but the bag is still pretty just like the first day I laid  my eyes on it.

For the brand's Spring/Summer 2011 campaign, they went for vibrant colors of Spring and Summer with a touch of Parisian elegance and sophistication.

Shades of blue with brown accents.

White with pops of  color makes a pristine statement.

Color blocking is a great way to experiment with colors.

Watching Valentino's Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2011 fashion show feels like you are floating because of the movements of the clothes and the softness of the fabrics used. Pleats, tiers and bows are present in the entire collection.

I am dying over this dress. It seems as if it has a life of its own.

Tiers made a comeback and the butterfly necklace is so cute.

Jean Paul Gaultier's Spring/Summer 2011 campaign features Karolina Kurkova (left) and Andrej Pejic. Everyone knows who Karolina is so I am going to just focus on introducing you Andrej. HE is a model from Bosnia-Herzegovina but their family moved to Australia in the 1990s. Yes, he is a he. To get you more confused, here is the profile photo of the 19-year old from models.com.

Ok, I am envy as you are. Just look at those features. And he's been 'kinda' stealing jobs from female models. He's also on Marc Jacob's campaign wearing a striped shirt and shorts. This guy is the 'it' model of the moment, he's actually wearing a bridal gown by Jean Paul Gaultier and you really couldn't tell that he is a he. He has really dangerous curves.

I have always admired Yves Saint Laurent for their chic and always classic looks. For their Spring 2011 collection, black and white ruled the classic pieces while bursts of primary colors come alive with ruffles and simple silhouettes.

To Die For: Hussein Chalayan Spring/Summer 2011 minimalist look

Hussein Chalayan's Spring/Summer 2011 minimalist look are to die for.  The collection was inspired by Sakoku--a policy in Japan in the 1600s wherein no one was allowed to leave or enter the country and anyone who violates this will be under death penalty.  Take a look.

The main color schemes of Chalayan's collection are earth colors and pastels.  Simple cuts and loose silhouette allow the interplay of mixed fabrics creating a serene minimalistic appeal.
