Peplum dresses are in and if anyone doesn't know that yet, she's been locked in her house for too long. Peplum is a short overskirt or ruffle attached to the waistline of a dress or skirt to create volume on the hips. Peplum dresses are great on narrow hips but there are also designs that look just as well with full figured women.

Look of the Day: The Santa Cruzan
Every year, during May, in almost every town and province of the Philippines, there is a Santa Cruzan. It is a parade commemorating Reyna Elena's pilgrimage in finding the crucifix. She was accompanied by several other reynas including Mary Magdalene. This year, my niece was chosen to be the Reyna Elena with my son as Constantine. She is wearing a dress with sweetheart neckline adorned with floral appliques. The bow on the hip is accessorized with a brooch. To complete her look, she wears statement bracelet, ring and earrings made of cubic zirconia.

My ZALORA Wishlist
I joined a shopping site in the Philippines and I was so impressed of the items that I could not help but create a wishlist. Anyone can dream, right?
Style-wise, I am a minimalist. I don't go for too many accessories, too loud colors and busy prints. Almost everything in my closet are in solid colors. I have a few floral blouses that I wear with jeans for me to look dressed up a bit... that's just about it. I am not a necklace person, too. I prefer to splurge on earrings, bracelets and rings because my nape gets irritated whenever I wear a necklace.
For this wishlist that I would like to call "Understated Grecian Glamazon", I focused on emphasizing a print that I would like to have but afraid to wear. Since I will be attending a cocktail party in a month's time, I think having that print as the focal point of the look would be fun. It would be the perfect time to try something new.

Look of the Day: Lady Dragon
2012 is the year of the Water Dragon. It is the most powerful (and luckiest) of all the 12 signs of the Chinese calendar. Dragons are innovative, flexible, self-assured and passionate. However, they are also stubborn, intense and quick tempered.
The lucky colors this year are gold and black. Opal, sapphire and amber are the luckiest gems.
