Iconic Headpieces at the Met Gala

Aside from the stunning gowns, there is one trend that is hard to miss in this year's Met Gala--headpieces. Whether it be a hat, a crown, a veil or a halo, these celebrities made sure that they came prepared to put on the most outrageous yet stunning headpieces to complete their Met Gala look.

Let's begin with Rihanna's pope hat by John Galliano for Margiela that tops the list of the most iconic headpieces of the event.

Cardi B made her first Met Gala memorable with an intricate gown by Jeremy Scott for Moschino with headpiece to match.

Sarah Jessica Parker wore a nativity hat and we all died. Just. Wow.

There. Are. No. Words. Blake Lively, we are not worthy.

Kate Bosworth's veil with pearls is something we would also want to wear on our wedding day.

Madonna opted a veil and crown combo and the result is amazing.

Emilie Clarke chose to wear a crown because she's a queen.

Kate Upton and her colorful bejeweled crown are a perfect match.

Priyanka Chopra's bejeweled head and neck covering makes a stunning contrast to her red Ralph Lauren gown.

Olivia Munn opted a chain mail headpiece to match her H&M gown.

Cara Delevingne went incognito in a beaded headdress with fringe that covers her face.

Rosie Huntington-Whitely's halo is simple yet stunning.

Those spikes on Anne Hathaway's head are pierced into her up-do to create a crown. Ingenious!

Lana Del Rey and Jared Leto were couple matched in heaven with their halo and crown headpieces.

Met Gala 2013 red carpet arrival photos part 1

Beyonce, from one unforgettable gala to another, is this year's honorary chair, is a sight to behold in this  Givenchy  gown with intricate print and train with matching boots.

How crazy is that train?! Only the Queen B can pull it off.

This year's Met Gala theme is Punk: Chaos to Couture. The gala is actually one of my favorite red carpet events because I get to see different facets of fashion through the stars' interpretation of each year's theme. This year's Met Gala did not disappoint, as usual. Aside from the shocking fashion, it seems that Anna Wintour's forces did not stop Kim Kardashian to land her feet on the event.

Anyway, let's bring out all the punk... click on the jump.
