Meghan Markle's wedding reception dress

The newly wed Duke and Duchess of Sussex quickly changed to their respective reception attire to party with the 200 guests arranged by the Prince of Wales. Prince Harry wore a classic tuxedo bow tie while Meghan Markle changed to another white halter gown that enhanced her toned shoulders. The stunning gown was created by Stella McCartney while her shoes were custom-made by Aquazzura.

Celebrity Style: Meghan Markle wears a Self-Portrait floral dress

This photo was taken days before at the Invictus Games reception. She's wearing a floral Self-Portrait dress that she accessorized with an Alexander McQueen blazer, Roland Mouret shoulder bag and simple Manolo Blahnik black pumps.

Self-Portrait open shoulder crepe de Chine dress, available at Farfetch for $470.

We know it's a sin to compare her style to Kate Middleton's but Meghan's appeals more to our younger and more fun side. There are rumors that Stella McCartney was commissioned to design her wedding dress and seeing Meghan's style, we bet it will be equally stunning!

Met Gala 2013 red carpet arrival photos part 1

Beyonce, from one unforgettable gala to another, is this year's honorary chair, is a sight to behold in this  Givenchy  gown with intricate print and train with matching boots.

How crazy is that train?! Only the Queen B can pull it off.

This year's Met Gala theme is Punk: Chaos to Couture. The gala is actually one of my favorite red carpet events because I get to see different facets of fashion through the stars' interpretation of each year's theme. This year's Met Gala did not disappoint, as usual. Aside from the shocking fashion, it seems that Anna Wintour's forces did not stop Kim Kardashian to land her feet on the event.

Anyway, let's bring out all the punk... click on the jump.

Spring and Summer Shoe Brights

Don't you just love colors?! Brightly colored shoes, especially. There is something about brightly colored shoes that makes you feel happy when you wear them. This coming spring and summer, set aside your black and brown shoes and wear shoes just like the above.

Click on a shoe that you like to see its details. My favorite is the blue Giuseppe Zanotti one on the upper right corner. *Wink*

Slimming optical illusion dresses

Well, slimming illusion dresses have been in the scene for quite a while but it was only during Cannes Film Festival that we took notice of its actual slimming effect. Who could forget this image of Kate Winslet wearing a Stella McCartney color block illusion dress that lifted and tucked her in all the right places?

This is way better than going under the knife, don't you think?

More slimming optical illusion dresses after the jump.

Cannes 2011 Fashion Review: Penelope Cruz

Penelope Cruz, the new mom, proved that she did not lose her allure and star power. She's one of my favorites on the red carpet because she never disappoints to wow me with her style.

For The Pirates of the Caribbean 4 photo call, Penelope wore a simple navy blue shift dress from Stella McCartney's Fall 2011 collection and stilettos.  No fuzz at all. Just raw Pen. Just beautiful!

For the red carpet, Pen wore an intricately beaded gown with tulle shoulders and fishtail hem from Marchesa's Fall 2011 collection. Breathtakingly gorgeous!

2011 Metropolitan Museum Costume Institute Gala

One of the most awaited events of the year is the Metropolitan Museum Costume Institute Gala or Met. Hollywood stars gather in this event trying to outshine each other with their most glamorous gowns. This year, Met paid tribute to the late Alexander McQueen who is a favorite designer of stars during the event because of his avant garde, rebel, OTT but luxurious pieces that will surely leave a mark--either good or bad--to the fashion critics' sharper than sword reviews. This time around, the event did not disappoint.

Take a look at some of the most glamorous and not so glamorous gowns of the night.

Hailed as the world's most beautiful by People Magazine, Jennifer Lopez kept the drama in high volume with this pink Gucci frock with floral bolero AND nearly a million worth of Fred Leighton jewelries. A diva has got to do it, ya know.

If you have a body like Brooklyn Decker, you really don't need elaborate gowns to make you look sexy. All you need is this pink Michael Kors long sleeved gown with thigh high slit and minimal jewelries and you are good to go.

I am just so glad that Dianna Agron went back to being her true self after the tragic attempt to go bold  and fierce. Thank goodness Michael Kors came in to intervene.

A tribute to Alexander McQueen will not be complete without his closest friends' presence. One of  Lee's closest friends is Sarah Jessica Parker who wore an intricately beaded gown, of course, by Alexander McQueen.

Ashley Greene looks ravishing in this dreamy Donna Karan gown with  a train so  large,  we forget the young star's Twilight dark roots.

Oh Blake! A party will never be complete without Blake Lively. Here, she's wearing Chanel Haute Couture's gown like it is nobody's business. She completed the look with Christian Louboutin sandals (her favorite shoe brand) and Fred Leighton jewelries.

A mash-up like no other. Freida Pinto takes a fashion risk in this white gown  with an odd necktie by Chanel Haute Couture. I can see Karl Lagerfeld in this dress and that's bad.

Gwyneth Paltrow went minimalist safe with this nude Stella McCartney gown. She looks great but I would like to see her take some fashion risks.

Salma Hayek made Team McQueen proud with this peach organza gown and curly locks. And I couldn't agree less.

Taylor Swift usually does it in sparkles so I find this J. Mendel gown and  make-up a little bit severe for the pretty songstress's face and personality. Nice try, though!

Diane Kruger's look is one of my favorite looks of the event. Don't you agree? Here, she wears  a Jason Wu gown with embellished top and skirt with thigh high slit.

Queen B opted to wear a super tight Emilio Pucci gown that made her  girls look like they will just come out of the dress to breathe. The turtle neck just made this dress the most uncomfortable dress ever. There are no reports yet of wardrobe malfunction at the time of my writing.

Well, I think Demi Moore looks gorgeous per se, so, she really doesn't need to wear something that is too busy and distracting like this Prabal Gurung dress. She should have worn the Philip Treacy fascinator days ago.

I have to say that birds have earned their right on the red carpet and it is all because of this Miu Miu dress that Michelle Williams confidently wore.

Christina Ricci really made a grand entrance in this Zac Posen gown with trumpet  skirt. It is Met and it is all about high impact and drama. This dress and that attitude is so reminiscent of Alexander McQueen's runway shows.

Penelope Cruz is stunning in this Oscar de la Renta gown but I think she has done this look before. Well, if it worked before it will work again, right?

The frumpiest and ugliest look of the event unfortunately is by Kirsten Dunst. This  Chanel Haute Couture off shoulder tea-length dress added a million years to her. She could have at least stand tall and proud wearing her granny's dress.

Also one of my favorite looks, Eva Mendes looks gorgeous as usual in this pleated one shoulder Stella McCartney dress. A stand out color in a sea of blacks, whites and nudes. Bravo!

To borrow from Rachel Zoe--we die! Iman, the perpetually beautiful model looks drop dead gorgeous in this Stella McCartney gold jumpsuit. And you ask how old is she? Never mind because you will die again of envy.
