2018 Golden Globes Red Carpet Arrival Photos

This year's Golden Globes has a lot of memorable moments--Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston being in the same event and same room, Natalie Portman calling out the Golden Globes for the "all male" nominees for Best Director, Nicole Kidman's award that she offered to her two kids with Keith Urban but not mentioning her adoptive children Connor and Isabella Cruise, and Oprah Winfrey's powerful speech after receiving the Cecil B. de Mille award, to name a few. But, even before all of those things happened, the buzz began on the red carpet with the brightest Hollywood stars wearing black and "Time's Up" pin. The Oscars 2014 Red Carpet Arrival Photos Part 1

Aside from winning the Best Actress trophy for the movie "Blue Jasmine", Cate Blanchett also won the hearts of fashion critiques in this dreamy and lady-like nude gown by Giorgio Armani. In all of the nude gowns of the night, this gown tops the list.

Angelina Jolie breaks out from her usual color and silhouette and chose this beaded Elie Saab gown that still oozes with sexiness and sophistication. Apart from the shimmering dress, it's her megawatt smile that lit up the red carpet.

Another red carpet pro is Kate Hudson who went for vintage glam in this silver Atelier Versace gown that is plunging in front as well as the back.  The strategically sewn drape in front accentuated her enviable curves even more.

Naomi Watts went for a sleeved Calvin Klein dress that she accessorized with Bulgari jewels. Take a look at that neckline!

This year's 5th Governors Awards had Angelina Jolie as honoree for her humanitarian mission. The gorgeous actress-director-mother-fiancee of Brad Pitt is stunning in this embellished Atelier Versace gown with cap sleeves. This client-designer relationship of Angelina Jolie and Versace is something that is consistent in every red carpet event. I hope the two stick together for a very long time.

Gasp! After seven years and six kids together, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are now engaged! The reps of the two confirmed that Brad indeed popped the big question to Angelina and commissioned Robert Procop--the same designer of the "The Style of Jolie" jewelry line, to create the engagement ring.

The ring is estimated to be 10 carats worth $250,000 to $1 million. Jolie debuted the ring on April 11 at Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Jolie and Pitt has yet to announce the day of their marriage.

Well, that is something to look forward to.

Angelina Jolie's leg made more headlines than the highlights of the Academy Awards. It even went trending on Twitter... now that's what I call star (leg) power. I really like the awards season because it is the time that stars get to show off their best. A red carpet event such as the Academy Awards is a make or break event whether they are nominated or just around to watch. The gowns and jewelries are a feast for the eyes... too bad, not for shoes because they are usually hidden underneath long gowns. I think that was Angie's point in doing the stance (leg out, arm on waist)... to show off her custom made Salvatore Ferragamo pumps. Of course, the velvet Atelier Versace gown made it happen because of the thigh high slit.

Sofia Vergara redeemed herself on the red carpet of SAG Awards after the suffocating dress.  The Modern Family actress stunned in a raspberry Marchesa gown, Thale Blanc clutch, Lorraine Schwartz jewels and Casadei heels.

Despite the many controversies surrounding Angelina Jolie's movie In the Land of Blood and Honey, she still manages to look gorgeous on the red carpet. For the premiere of her directorial debut film in Los Angeles, Angie wore a navy blue asymmetric Romona Reveza gown and Jimmy Choo nude peep toes that she accessorized with just earrings and ring. It is so simple, very her, but ultra glamorous.

The supportive partner of Brad Pitt showed up at the Toronto Film Festival for the latter's new flick Moneyball. I know, she's back in black. I don't know if she did it on purpose to let Brad shine on the event. But, it's Angie we are talking about here so it is impossible for us to not notice and inspect her from head to toe. Well, let us ignore Angie's black Vivienne Westwood gown and just focus on what her right hand is holding. Gasp! It's a gold Louis Vuitton clutch that is handcuffed on her wrist.

My wish for Angelina Jolie

This is my most favorite Angelina Jolie look during her promotion of Salt. She's wearing a Versace gown with thigh high slit, turtle neck and somewhat bell sleeves. It just looks very Angie... mysterious, sophisticated and sultry.

Yesterday, I saw this Vionnet jersey turtle neck gown with leather belt. When I saw it, I immediately thought of Angelina Jolie. It is very Angie, too, in style. I am actually imagining her head on the gown. Wouldn't it be delightful to see her wear purple? We have seen her wear yellow, green and red... and purple would be a nice addition to her once-in-a-blue-moon colored outfits. What do you think?

Cannes 2011 Fashion Review: Angelina Jolie

My Cannes 2011 fashion review will not be complete without Angelina Jolie. She's hitting two birds with one shot in Cannes--promoting her Kung Fu Panda 2 movie and supporting Brad Pitt's movie The Tree of Life.

For Kung Fu Panda 2's photo call, Angie preferred head to toe Salvatore Ferragamo. I find her look too generic, like there's something missing. She looks gorgeous but it lacks the Angie spirit. I love the emerald bracelet and ring, though.

Critics say that this look is just so-so for La Jolie but I disagree. This Versace gown with a thigh high slit (Angie's trademark) is so glamorous. I think this is one of her best red carpet looks.

Girl crush alert!

For Tree of Life's  premiere, Angelina Jolie opted to wear a brown Atelier Versace gown that is just the right amount of sophistication and elegance... nothing too goth or wicked, but of course it would not be Angie if she will not add Angie flavor to it--the thigh high slit. I think she and Atelier Versace should be friends for a long long time. This is my most favorite look of her. She looks not less than a super star.

Brad sure is one lucky guy!
